this is an oldie but a goodie!!!!
this is right around the time that i decided i hated nursing school and wanted to start my life as a photographer.. haha
taken right after my birthday in 2006...
this photo is one of my all time favorites because:
- there was no editing
- its a picture of my future hubby :)
- it has a lot of meaning
- aaaand was taken before i had any formal training - with a point and shoot digital!

Yes, we had cake & ice cream 2x in as many days, but then again, when are we going to get to try this FOOD FIND that I had bookmarked on my computer for the last year or so?

Not sure if you can tell but there's a special place from "food network" just across the street.. How fortuitous! (it's the "Grand Traverse Pie Company" which has several locations but the closest one to where we were visiting is the Norton Shores, location which we hadn't realized til we checked in to the hotel that it was ACROSS THE STREET!!
